Your terms: deposit, cancellation, and how long an agreement stays signable
The paragraphs at the foot of every agreement are yours to write. RiteBinder never enforces them.
Your terms are the paragraphs at the foot of every agreement you send: what you are engaged to do, what happens if the date moves, what the deposit holds, and what a cancellation means for it.
Open Settings, then Edit agreement terms. RiteBinder gives you a set to work from. Edit them into your own words, and reset back to the starting terms if an edit went somewhere you did not want.
What you write here goes onto every new agreement. An agreement already signed keeps the terms it was signed under, so rewording your policy never rewrites a record.
You also set how long an agreement stays signable. Past that window an unsigned link stops working, so a link sent in spring cannot be signed in autumn against a price you no longer charge.
A preview shows how the terms will read to the couple or family before you save, in your brand, the way they will see them.
RiteBinder does not decide your deposit or your cancellation policy and does not enforce either one. They are yours, in your words, on your paper. If you are unsure what belongs in them, ask a lawyer who practises where you do.
